Northport Parent Newsletter April 2022

Welcome from the new principal - Lisa Barnholdt

Hello everyone! My name is Lisa Barnholdt and I am very excited to be the new principal at Northport Elementary School. I have been here just over a month and already feel at home. Everyone has been amazing at introducing themselves and making me feel welcome. This school is an incredible community and I am looking forward to continuing to serve the students, staff, families, and community with the same dedication and personalization that Mr. Rowe exhibited. We are grateful for the work of Ms. Sherrod. She has been a consistent leader in this building and worked hard to make sure this community was not impacted by Mr. Rowe’s departure.

I am looking forward to meeting you all in person at our next family event.  Please know that I am always accessible via the phone, email, or for an in-person conversation. We will plan on sending out newsletters frequently to keep you informed of school news, events, and activities, at Northport Elementary School., 763-504-7801

Report Cards

Report cards were sent home on April 11th. Please keep in mind that this is a snapshot of how your student is doing in class, a picture of how they have been developing over the past year academically, socially, and emotionally. If something is surprising to you please reach out to the teacher.

We are so excited to be able to host a family event this June. Please mark your calendars for Friday, June 3rd for our family year end celebration. We are still in the planning stages, but you can expect some exciting activities for you and your student.
