ACCESS State Testing Dates

Federal and state laws require testing of English language learners (ELL) each year.  In Minnesota, ELL students take the “ACCESS for ELLs” test, which measures student’s abilities in reading, writing, understanding English and speaking English. This test measures how well students can use English in the classroom. The process of learning English takes time; students move along this process at different rates.

The ACCESS for ELLs test will be given at Northport Elementary School on January 30 - February 24th.                                                                                                         For students in grades 1-12, the test is taken using a computer. For kindergarten students, the test is on paper.
