Reimagine Rdale: Community Engagement Continues This Spring; Event Set for April 27

As Robbinsdale Area Schools (Rdale) continues planning for the future, the district is launching a new phase of community engagement this spring as part of Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030.

This next phase is designed to build on the work of the Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030 Team and ensure students, families, staff, and community members have opportunities to learn more, share perspectives, and help shape the district’s path forward.

The first step in this process will be a Vision Team+ Focus Group on April 16. This session will bring together members of the original Vision 2030 Team along with members from multiple district advisory groups who have been engaged throughout the school year to review updates and provide input. Insights from this session will help inform upcoming engagement opportunities, including a Community Conversation open to all families, staff, and community members.

Community Conversation: April 27 at Cooper High School

Rdale will host a Community Conversation from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on April 27 at Cooper High School (8230 47th Ave. N., New Hope, Minnesota 55428). This event will begin with a short presentation in the auditorium with a transition to the main foyer, where community members will have a chance to visit stations staffed by district leaders and subject-matter experts. These stations will allow community members to ask questions, engage in conversation, and provide structured input to help inform ongoing planning and future communication.

Discussion topics may include:

  • Finance and bond planning
  • Teaching and learning / programming
  • Facilities planning and design
  • Student programming and opportunities
  • And more

Additional Engagement Opportunities in May

Throughout May, the district will continue sharing information and gathering input through a variety of targeted and school-based engagement opportunities, including:

  • Staff conversations at each school building
  • Student meetings at the high school level
  • Family and community engagement nights across the district
  • Engagement meetings with specific groups representing athletics, activities, fine arts, and academics
  • Continued engagement with cities and district partners

Details for these opportunities will be shared in the coming weeks.

A Continued Commitment to Community Voice

This spring’s engagement efforts are an important step in moving from visioning to planning. Feedback gathered through these conversations will help shape early facility concepts, inform future decisions, and guide how the district continues to engage the community.

Rdale remains committed to building the school district our students want, need, and deserve, and that work continues with the voices of our community at the center.
