Welcome to Northport Elementary! It is our privilege to serve as your administrative team, and we are honored to partner with you in creating a school community where every learner is known, valued, challenged, and celebrated.

At Northport, we believe every child brings unique strengths, talents, and limitless potential. We create meaningful learning experiences that help students build knowledge and skills while developing confidence, resilience, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. We want our students to have voice, choice, and agency—to see themselves as active participants in their learning and believe in what they are capable of achieving.

Just as importantly, we nurture the whole child. Through strong relationships, Community Morning Meetings, social-emotional learning, and intentional opportunities to connect, we create a safe and welcoming environment where students know they belong. Empathy, respect, collaboration, and kindness are woven into who we are as a school community.

In our classrooms, learning is active, engaging, and joyful. Students build strong foundations in literacy, mathematics, science, and other content areas while learning to think critically, communicate their ideas, collaborate, solve problems, and persevere when learning gets challenging. We celebrate effort, embrace mistakes as opportunities to grow, and encourage curiosity to spark the next question and the next discovery.

As Northport Polar Bears, we challenge ourselves each day to find our joy, do our best, and support one another. Together, we are building a community where every voice matters, every learner is encouraged to grow, and every success is worth celebrating.

NORTHPORT IS A FULL-SERVICE COMMUNITY SCHOOL

A full-service community school (FSCS) builds partnerships and organizes resources to help students and families thrive. Full-service community schools focus on academics, health, social services, youth development, and engagement – all to improve student learning and strengthen families.

Northport Elementary School, a FSCS, is a resource center open to everyone, with extended evening and weekend hours.

Our mission is to build a stronger, braver support system for our students and families within the neighborhoods our schools serve. We cannot do this alone: we need your voice. If you have a need and/or questions, ideas, or suggested partnerships, please connect with us.
