About Dr. Aldo Sicoli
Dr. Aldo Sicoli has been superintendent of Robbinsdale Area Schools since July 1, 2009. Prior to joining the district, Dr. Sicoli had been the assistant superintendent for community relations, school operations and program services for Burnsville-Eagan-Savage public schools since 2006. He began his education career as a basketball coach in Roseville Area Schools, coaching teams from the freshmen through varsity levels for 14 years. Dr. Sicoli began his teaching career as a substitute teacher. He taught seven courses in the social studies and business education departments for two years at Waseca High School and taught six courses at Minnehaha Academy Upper School for 5 ½ years. He was an assistant principal at Henry Sibley High School for three years; head principal of Lincoln East High School in Lincoln, Nebraska, for two years; principal of Henry Sibley from 1999-2001; principal of Valley View Middle School in Edina through 2003 and principal of Edina High School through 2006.
Dr. Sicoli holds an Ed.D. degree in education policy and administration from the University of Minnesota; an M.A.T. degree in teaching from the College of St. Thomas; an M.B.A. from Texas Tech University and a bachelor's degree in psychology and child psychology from the University of Minnesota.
